ABOUT MARC
I'm an IT guy by trade, but an 'enthusiastic amateur' photographer in my spare time. My passion for photography was sparked in the 1970s when my father gave me my first camera, a Russian Zenit SLR. This opened a whole new creative world for me and got me exposed to the basics of photography: aperture, shutter speed, and the ISO speed of the film (yes, these were the film days). Understanding and appreciating the 'art' of photography - composition, the quality of light, capturing the moment, etc. - took much longer though. In fact, it's an ongoing journey and my photography continues to evolve. And that's a good thing. These days I enjoy shooting landscapes, animals, food, urbanscapes, and events such as airshows. A very eclectic mix indeed.
I live with my lovely wife Gina, our two chocolate Labradors Hershey and Maya, and cat Maple on the beautiful Central Coast in Australia.
